The front gate is original to the community and has been in place for over 23 years. As the gate has aged and needed repairs or maintenance, parts have become increasingly difficult to obtain.

On average, the gate opens and closes over 300 times per day (nearly 20 times per hour). We are in the process of researching a long-term solution to update or replace the entire gate operating mechanism.

A short-term solution has been put into effect that will allow us time to determine the best long-term strategy. We understand this may present concerns but if we do not address this now the gate could fail entirely and need to remain open 24/7 until repairs are made. In order to avoid a complete failure these proactive measures are being taken.

Dominion Energy South Carolina has notified Harbour Watch that they will be planting trees in the 75' buffer zone.

This is expected to occur in the coming weeks. While this will primarily impact lakefront homeowners, it is possible that some planting may occur on Sunrise Point or the buffer zone around the clubhouse.

Landscapers have been instructed where to plant the trees & residents are asked to not to interfere with their operations.

If you have any questions please contact DESC Lake Manager Billy Chastain at billy.chastain@dominionenergy.com or 803-217-7149.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

ASC Reminder
